This blog is dedicated to (but not necessarily limited to) my experience with Urban Education in New Jersey.

It's been a while... I was recently placed for my fieldwork at JFK High School in Paterson, NJ. I am very excited to begin observing such a dynamic school. I will be keeping up with this blog, detailing some of the elation and frustrations inherent in my journey. Keep posted, silly friends!
A starving, struggling graduate student indebted to education for life... In the MAT program at MSU for English/Writing Studies; also a writing tutor and substitute teacher. Doing my "fieldwork" at JFK High School in Paterson, NJ.
A (semi-newly) avid reader or "book worm," boarder-line anarchist, disc-golf enthusiast, and former "singer" in a punk-rock band called "Folly." A Supporter of Ron Paul and Libertarians (disenchanted with but living within the confines of a competitive, monopoly-capitalist, consumer-driven Imperialist-aggressor nation). Root for the Mets AND the Yankees, and take turns wearing each team's hat. Works at Rutherford Music Exchange, and play in a couple bands to boot... Enjoys watching "Seinfeld," a good sandwich and a tasty brew, reading a mainly good book on a partly cloudy day, and spending as much time with family and friends as is available.
